- Responsible for the accurate booking of trades in our internal risk system.
- Ensure FIX Orders trade blotter is clean and that all execution trades are booked.
- Process internal trade moves and book transfers for the Portfolio Managers.
- Collaborate with Middle Office team to ensure smooth settlement of all trades.
- Manage all OTC Option expiries.
- Work with wider teams in the firm to conduct testing in preparation for upgrades to the internal risk system.
- Book trades, ensure timeliness and accuracy. Monitor and allocate trades in FIX blotter
- Confirm PV and fees for swap collapses via third party pricer.
- Double check any exotics booked across firm ensuring all terms and features are reflected correctly.
- Primary point of contact to deal with operational queries when they need input from trading
- Trade moves, ad-hoc tasks and reports.
- Run flash P&L rec to catch any mis-bookings.
- FX rolls, daily residuals, late prior day trades. Liaise with Operations and keep desk informed
- Repos: be on top of financing requirements T0. Communicate to desk, act as go between for MO and trading
- Futures expiries cash v physical, point person between desk and middle office to ensure all such events are managed and desk is aware
- OTC expiries
- Screen for boxed positions between custodian, cash v CFD. Reconcile breaks arising from operations reconciliations.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations / middle office within investment banking or investment management.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and various financial products, with cross-asset class experience preferred (FI, FX, Credit, Rates, Equities).
- Excellent knowledge of operational risk and experience in risk mitigation, technology, process, and controls.
- Proficiency in VBA, SQL, or other programming languages is a plus.
- Highly proficient in Excel with strong numerical skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Displays and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.
