We are looking for a self-driven staff excited about working with the community to cultivate environmental stewardship for the OneMillionTrees movement, as part of our efforts to transform Singapore into a City in Nature. You will be part of a team overseeing outreach and engagement efforts under the OneMillionTrees movement, working alongside colleagues managing our green spaces across the island. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will help to coordinate, organise and implement tree-planting and related activities to promote the OneMillionTrees movement.[What you will be working on]The successful applicant is required to coordinate OneMillionTrees movement activities, as well as facilitate and promote collaboration and partnerships under the OneMillionTrees movement, in support of the City in Nature vision. Key roles include:
- Assist with upstream planning and coordination of tree planting sites
- Track and monitor tree-planting and engagement activities, analyse data and draft reports for management
- Conduct outreach and education activities, such as roadshows and talks, and publicise tree-planting events to involve the community in the OneMillionTrees movement
- Develop and manage volunteers to support the organising and running of tree-planting events.
- Support any other OneMillionTrees Secretariat functions, such as survey administration, knowledge management etc.
- Possess a keen interest in nature conservation and outreach
- Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
- An organised, adaptable and resourceful team player who is able to work independently
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous and detail-oriented
- Prepared to work outside office hours, including Saturdays and Sundays
- Skills and experience in using data analytics solutions such as Qlik Sense is preferred
