With the recent acquisition of Infinera, we've united two industry leaders to create an optical networking powerhouse-combining cutting-edge technology with proven leadership to redefine the future of connectivity.As the Pre Sales Engineer for Subsea in APAC, you will play a pivotal role in driving our submarine network solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving bandwidth demands of our clients. Collaborating closely with account directors and the presales team, you will be the technical expert guiding customer engagements, crafting network designs, and developing compelling proposals. Your expertise will directly inform product development while enhancing relationships with key customers, including Tier 1 operators and subsea cable consortiums. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, emphasizing innovative problem-solving and independent initiative. You'll thrive in a remote role with extensive travel across APAC, becoming an integral part of our expanding and successful subsea team at Nokia.Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert presales technical support for Nokia subsea SLTE solutions across the APAC region.
  • Collaborate with account directors to analyze customer networks and tailor solutions to meet their bandwidth needs.
  • Own the design and documentation of subsea SLTE networks, including bill of materials and solution presentations.
  • Leverage Nokia network design tools to ensure optimal technical proposals and quotations for clients.
  • Drive project implementation efforts, supporting sales and project teams in closing deals and executing network solutions.
  • Provide market feedback and trends to product management to inform ongoing innovation and solution development.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through ongoing technical consultations and tailored solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing technical sales team, promoting a collaborative and solution-focused environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Technical expertise in submarine network and SLTE design
  • Knowledge of optical networking (DWDM, ROADM, OTN) and data networking (Ethernet, IP)
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and lead technical discussions
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Experience with responding to RFP/RFQ and preparing technical quotations
  • Familiarity with customer relationships in APAC markets, including operators and subsea cable consortiums
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for technical sales activities
  • Flexibility to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
