- Provide the strategic management and direction for the advisory teams
- Identify and develop individual advisory targets that will achieve the overall FPA business objectives
- Develop and implement Region advisory plans to achieve business volumes and product mix and business quality to support financial growth objectives for the Region
- Ensure resources across teams are effectively managed, utilised and distributed; staff are rotated to develop individuals
- Develop a firm understanding of the customer base and operating complexities that exist within each of the advisory teams within the Region and manage them accordingly
- Set, review and communicate business targets to the Team Heads in line with the overall business targets laid down for the Region
- Ensure that the business, operational and customer service standards are met
- Read and digest the weekly business momentum and provide coaching and direction to the Team Heads to ensure targets are achieved
- Liaise with respective stakeholders on new campaign and new product launches
- Ensure the staff are operating as teams within the Region and striving to outperform targets to be the best Region within FPA
- Communicate changes in Bank policy and procedures that materially affect the Region activities
- Hold regular communication sessions with the management team
- Be close to the market and be aware of competition activities, and work towards staying ahead of them
- Ensure that the Region management team leverage off the experience and knowledge of the BD
- Degree/Professional Qualification (CFP) with a minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Good organisational skills, of self and others
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical/problem solving ability
- Sound understanding of competitors and their activity in the marketplace
- Sound understanding of Financial Services to include a working knowledge and application of compliance and T&C regulations
- Proven success leading advisory management teams
- Relevant experience in development of high performing managers
