- Develop and execute strategic PR narratives and campaigns to raise awareness of our company’s and affiliates’ brand and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
- Proactively identify media opportunities and channels to develop compelling press releases, opinion articles, and other PR materials.
- Serve as the company spokesperson and effectively communicate key messages to the media, stakeholders, and the public.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and landscape activities.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, providing timely and effective responses to mitigate any negative impact on the company's reputation.
- Manage and coordinate press conferences, media interviews, and other PR events.
- Develop and execute a LinkedIn strategy for thought leadership.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on PR-related matters, including media training and messaging consistency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and PR best practices to ensure innovative and effective PR campaigns.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Corporate Communications lead, PR Director or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in the tech industry or a VC firm.
- Strong understanding of how the media works, media relations, crisis management, and PR strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for various audiences.
- Willingness and ability to take on complex (including scientific) subjects to distill them down to clear messaging for stakeholders through strong writing.
- Solid network of media contacts and a track record of successful media placements.
- Experience with global media markets would be preferred.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- This is a critical corporate role that requires close collaboration and robust interaction with the Executive team in Singapore as well as affiliates globally.
- “Global hours” are required from time to time (early morning/late night calls). During periods of intense activity, global hours may be required 2-3 days per week.
