[What the role is] The Energy Market Authority (EMA) is statutory board under the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI). Through our work, we seek to build a clean energy future that is resilient, sustainable and competitive. We aim to ensure a reliable and secure energy supply, promote effective competition in the energy market and develop a dynamic energy sector in Singapore.[What you will be working on]Responsibilities:Develop and review EMA’s legislations, regulations, performance standards and technical codes of practices governing Electricity Licensees.Investigate and assess incidents related to power failures, voltage dips, cable damage and meter tampering to determine potential breaches of legislation, regulation, performance standard and code of practice. Recommend appropriate enforcement actions against offenders based on investigation findings.Conduct incident and failure trend analysis, identify systemic issues, and develop mitigating measures and system enhancements to address them.[What we are looking for]Requirements:Recognised bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably majoring in power engineering.Good understanding of EMA’s legislations, regulations, performance standards and technical codes of practices governing Electricity Licensees.Preferably familiar with data visualisation and analytics tools (such as Power BI) and AI/ML concepts.Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills. Able to communicate technical concepts in clear and simple terms to stakeholders.​
