What the role is:You play a pivotal role in the continuous development and iteration of data enablers and infrastructures.What you will be working on:- Engage the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) data domain stakeholders to clarify the required end insights, prediction and/or data products to inform the data collection, cleaning, validation technique and format, and scale, granularity and security requirements of data to be stored - Collect, clean and validate data either manually or by writing code and employing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions to automate, standardise and optimise data pipelines - Collaborate with various entities to build coherent data pipelines from source to database in order to enable data use case - Establish the RSN Data Architecture and research on relevant data standards, analytics and visualisation methods to employ while ensuring alignment with the overarching MINDEF/SAF data requirements - Build, deploy and maintain data analytics and visualisation methods to enable the extraction of insights, predictions and meaning from data to domain stakeholders Challenge(s) - Accessing segregated military systems - Keeping pace with emerging technologies - Working across multiple security levelsWhat we are looking for:- Education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related field - At least 3 years of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) experience is preferred - Experience with predictive/statistical analysis, mathematics, pattern recognition and data mining - Familiarity with agile development methodology (Scrum framework) is advantageous - Proficiency in Excel, SQL, R, Python, Java/JavaScript and cloud technologies - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments - Ability to breakdown complex problems into actionable steps with measurable outcomes - Good written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present to management and stakeholders - Meticulous approach with initiative to innovate Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
