[What the role is]In this role, you will be applying your expertise in UX/UI design principles and front-end web development, along with your creative coding skills, to bring artistic concepts to life in functional digital solutions. Your role will require a broad understanding of design methodologies and coding languages, complemented by an enthusiasm for emerging technologies, particularly in artificial intelligence.[What you will be working on]
  • Course delivery to learners, encompassing curriculum development, course assessment, project supervision, and mentoring of learners, along with offering pre-, in-, and post-course advice.
  • Enhance the quality of lesson design and delivery through implementing appropriate teaching and learning strategies and methods.
  • Evaluate curriculum design, development, delivery, and assessment to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Spearhead and lead developmental initiatives and industry collaborations, including competitions.
  • Keep abreast of and respond to changing trends in the professional and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.
  • Lead or represent in school committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, learner recruitment, project management etc.) as and when required.
  • Review, formulate and implement processes in response to new initiatives/strategies set by the School/Dept.
  • Develop and deliver CET programmes.
[What we are looking for]
  • Relevant qualification or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Media Arts / Digital Arts / Interaction Design / Interactive Media / Creative Technology / software programming and development for web design, generative art, immersive and interactive experiences.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI Design and processes.
  • Experience with Front-End Web Development.
  • Experience with creative coding and the ability to bridge the gap between artistic vision and technical implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical learners and team members.
  • Candidate should possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- UX/UI design tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision)
- Programming & scripting languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
- Creative coding frameworks such as Processing, p5.js
- Electronics Prototyping
- Generative AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
