The position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems on-site. This role requires strong technical skills, project management experience, and leadership abilities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Job description:
  • On-site leadership: Oversee the work of engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Technical expertise: Provide technical guidance and support for all mechanical and electrical aspects of the project.
  • Project management: Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and scope.
  • Quality assurance: Ensure all work meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve technical issues, including failure analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Stakeholder management: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Safety management: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must be bi-lingual in English and Mandarin.
  • Be based in Taiwan.
  • Be in the field directly at the project site.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree qualifications in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or similar. Built up working experience can be considered
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience with high voltage substation projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of all of the main HSE project management concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team.
  • Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of relevant local and international codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Computer/IT knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project tool, Conference call and Internet skills.
