Job Description :Our client is a subsidiary of the world’s foremost geotechnical specialist engineering contractor and has been established in Singapore since the 1970's. Timeo has been entrusted to look for a Contract Manager to join the team in Singapore.Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of quantity surveyors (team of 8 QS) for direct subcontracted works.
  • Prepare RFQs (Requests for Quotations) and manage the quotation process.
  • Draft and review sub-contractual correspondence and contract documents for subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Manage main contracts and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
  • Prepare, monitor, coordinate, and follow up on contractual claims, maintaining subject files.
  • Liaise with subcontractors for clarification and negotiation processes.
  • Coordinate with design, legal, and construction teams, reporting project progress to the Project Director and Project Managers.
  • Provide strategic inputs to resolve complex contractual issues.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders involved in the contracts management process.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for efficient contract administration.
  • Conduct regular contract audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve issues proactively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal requirements, and regulations related to contracts and construction practices.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in contracts management within the construction industry, particularly in diaphragm wall/foundation projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and construction contracts.
  • Thorough knowledge of Singapore public contracts.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to analyse complex issues, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions.
