[What the role is] This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Tourism & Resort Management in the School of Business & Accountancy.[What you will be working on]Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Develop and deliver curriculum (including online courses) and assessments for full-time and part-time courses for students and adult learners.Supervise student projects and internships with industry partners.Counsel and mentor students to support their learning and personal development, provide education and career guidance, and coach them for competitions.Undertake academic-related administration and committee work, support outreach activities and study trips, and ad-hoc projects that support the school’s mission.Plan, lead, manage and develop industry projects.[What we are looking for]At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in the airline, travel or hospitality industry.Competent to plan, develop and teach modules including Revenue Management, Tourism Research & Analytics, Airlines & Travel Business and related areas including Sustainability in Tourism & Tourism Marketing.Extensive industry network to facilitate industry in curriculum.A nurturing mindset with passion for working with young adults and mature learners.Ability to use innovative teaching and learning strategies to motivate learners.Conversant in the use of technology to facilitate teaching and learning.
