Requires a license to sell securities and related investment products. Activities include support of promotional activities, enhancing customer relationships, and referring customers to other areas, as appropriate. The Privilege Banking focus specializes in clients with investible assets below a given value that are serviced by the consumer or private bank. Responsible for maximizing revenues, product initiatives, sales, customer satisfaction, and minimizing operational losses, in addition to deepening existing relationships and minimizing customer attrition.Consumer Banking covers activities related to providing services and products directly to consumers through various business channels. This group includes retail banking, consumer lending, auto finance, small business banking, and related business areas.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDefine and execute the market strategy to grow UOB’s Privilege Banking franchise.Analyze market trends, client behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.Align local strategies with regional and global business objectives.Business Development & Revenue GrowthDrive acquisition of affluent and high-net-worth clients, including NRIs and expatriates.Expand assets under management (AUM) and increase product penetration across treasury investment, insurance, and lending.Collaborate with marketing and product teams to launch targeted campaigns and bespoke solutions.Team Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead and manage a team of Senior Team Heads, Client Advisors, and support staff.Build a high-performance culture focused on client excellence, compliance, and innovation.Mentor future leaders and ensure continuous professional development.Client Experience & Relationship ManagementChampion a client-first approach, ensuring consistent delivery of premium services.Oversee client engagement strategies, loyalty programs, and feedback mechanisms.Personally manage key client relationships and represent UOB at high-profile events.Governance, Risk & ComplianceEnsure full compliance with local and international banking regulations (e.g., FATCA, CRS, MAS guidelines).Implement robust risk management frameworks and operational controls.Liaise with legal, compliance, and audit teams to uphold governance standards.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with internal stakeholders including product, governance/compliance, investment, digital, and operations teams.Build strategic partnerships with external entities such as wealth platforms, legal firms.Represent UOB in industry forums and regulatory dialogues.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA/CFP preferred.10+ years of experience in wealth management/private banking, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven success in managing offshore banking teams and delivering market growth.Deep understanding of cross-border financial regulations and client needs.Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.Multilingual capabilities and international exposure preferred.Additional RequirementsCMFAS HI - Certificate in Health Insurance - Singapore, CMFAS M1B - Rules and Regulations for Dealing in Securities (Non SGX-ST members) - Singapore, CMFAS M5 - Rules & Regulations for Financial Advisory Services - Singapore, CMFAS M6A - Securities and Futures Product Knowledge - Singapore, CMFAS M6 - Securities Products and Analysis - Singapore, CMFAS M8A - Collective Investment Schemes II - Singapore, CMFAS M8 - Collective Investment Schemes - Singapore, CMFAS M9A - Life Insurance and Investment-Linked Policies II - Singapore, CMFAS M9 - Life Insurance & Investment-Linked Policies - SingaporeBe a Part of the UOB FamilyUOB is an equal opportunity employer.
