The incumbent will develop and implement Far East to Iraq trade policy in collaboration with the Trade Manager. He / She will drive the agency network commercial performance to achieve performance goals.This role requires strong trade management and analytical skills to drive trade policy implementation across internal and external stakeholders-including key customers, account managers, sales agencies, trade management, and operational teams-across diverse geographies and cultures.Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for performance ex Far East to Iraq.
- Set up overall trade pricing from Far East to Iraq.
- Monitor the booking/forecast and coordinate with cargo flow team.
- Build up and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region and client visitors to the region.
- Provide analytical support for trade policy and business development.
- Pricing based on market dynamic and rate policy from management
- Collaborate with cargo flow team on the booking and forecast.
- Support Trade Manager, in developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue and vessel utilization.
- Utilize the budget design plan to set origin port allocations (COA)and sales targets, optimizing space allocation by country and customer (CSA).
- Drive agency performance across Asia by using budget/target/customer specific tools to measure and manage volumes against targets and budgets at the country level.
- Track agents' sales plans vs actual liftings to ensure alignment with performance targets.
- Monitor market price trends and competitors' activity to keep pricing policies in line with market.
- Provide weekly reporting on cargo liftings, revenue, and contribution levels to validate the effectiveness of revenue-maximization strategies.
- Oversee and control cargo costs, including local port charges, feeder and transshipment rates, to ensure maximum cost recovery.
- Manage IT-related tasks linked to pricing and marketing, including updates to website schedules used as marketing tools (e.g., schedule accuracy, rates).
- Take full responsibility for the timely preparation and distribution of all pricing-related reports and analyses.
- Coordinate and finalize the Budget flows and Budget Sales Plan
- At least 3 years of experience in trade roles in the shipping liner or forwarder industry
- Prior experience in MEG/ISC/RS markets is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies or business related fields (i.e. shipping, logistics management or business administration)
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel with working knowledge of functions such as Pivot and Vlookup
