What the role is:School of Engineering - Lecturer (Aerospace Engineering)What you will be working on:
  • Develop curriculum and deliver lessons, primarily in the areas of Aircraft maintenance, Basic Aerodynamics, Aviation Legislation and Human Factors, as well as other Engineering disciplines.
  • Supervise students' final year projects and internships, and reach out to various stakeholders such as industry partners and universities.
  • Develop and conduct Continuing Education and Training (CET) lessons.
  • Take part in academic research projects, R&D/Implementation projects or consultancy to the industry.
  • Mentor and motivate students in their learning journey.
  • Involve in school activities such as service learning, outreach events and similar activities.
  • Undertake other administrative work related to the programme and student development activities.
  • Require to undergo medical examinations to control exposure to occupational hazards.
What we are looking for:
  • Qualification in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the aerospace MRO, with the following criteria(s):
i) hold, or have held an aircraft maintenance license (B1 category) issued by CAAS, orii) 5 years experience as an aircraft maintenance technician in the B1 Category and has passed CAAS SAR-66 basic examinations in M2, M6, M7, M8, M9 & M10 (B1 Category), oriii) qualification in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, and has passed (or willing to take and pass) CAAS SAR-66 basic examinations in M2, M6, M7, M8, M9 & M10 (B1 Category).
  • Proficient in developing curriculum and delivering lessons related to CAAS SAR-66 curriculu
- M2 Physics- M6 Materials and Hardware- M7 Maintenance Practices- M8 Basic Aerodynamics- M9 Human Factors- M10 Aviation Legislation- and other Engineering discipline modules
  • Genuine passion to share knowledge and interact with youths, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent team player in collaborative settings.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and in meeting deadlines
  • Strong industry linkages in the related fields.
