This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT backbone, which supports mission-critical banking applications and services across the organization. The ideal candidate should have expertise in data centre environments, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to operational excellence.The engineer will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, overseeing vendor relationships, and driving initiatives that enhance performance, energy efficiency, and resilience. The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our data center facilities, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing data center cabling infrastructure, analytical mind in resolving issues, and implementing best practices for data center environmental and power management.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain data center physical cabling infrastructure to ensure 99.99% uptime.
  • Oversight on environmental controls such as cooling, humidity, fire suppression, and security systems maintained by CRES.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cabling, network, and environmental issues promptly.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and upgrades of data center equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for repairs, upgrades, and capacity planning.
  • Develop and update documentation related to data center configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Support and mentor junior staff members as needed.
