The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer I.Key Responsibilities:Assess requirements then transform into preliminary designs and prototypes.Design, implement, debug, and refactor the firmware of robotic device/mechatronic system.Define and execute qualifying criteria of every development stage.Coordinate prototype manufacturing and solution deployment.Perform stringent risk and root cause analyses to ensure high-quality.Analyse the operation data of robotic device/mechatronic system deployment.Optimize development’s processes as well as costs.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related fields.Solid ownership, user-centered, and quality oriented.Solid experience in designing robotic device/mechatronic system.Proficient in kinematic/motion analysis.Proficient in embedded system designs and firmware development using C/C++.Familiar with general buses including I2C, SPI, UART and USBAny of the followings would be plus:Experience in C#.Experience in PCB design.Familiar with STM32 MCU and development/debugging tool chain.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
