Information Technology - Senior Systems Engineer (Virtualization and Windows/Linux Administrator)

- Extensive experience administering on-premises Linux and/or Windows systems on virtualization platforms, including SAN and storage solutions.
- Perform system administration and troubleshooting in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain documentation and operational processes.
- Support audit activities, infrastructure/network security scans, disaster recovery, and security drills.
- Research, evaluate, and deploy new technologies to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform to enhance agility.
- Provide on-call support according to the roster for troubleshooting and planned maintenance of production systems.
- Possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a similar hands-on role.
- Proven experience managing both Unix (Linux and/or AIX) and Windows servers, with expert-level knowledge (certification preferred) in at least one area, covering installation, configuration, security, networking, storage, patching, and hardening.
- Experience working in Virtualization environments.
- Practical experience administering SAN and related storage technologies.
- Proficient in scripting and automation using Python and Ansible for provisioning and managing dynamic infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure components including virtualization technologies, storage, networking, internet protocols, operating systems, scripting and monitoring tools, and IT security.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and related tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
