Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.For more details, please viewWe are looking for a Research Associate for the development of battery Digital Twin for electric vehicle applications. The role includes development of battery management systems, machine learning models, and web-based user interface. Our objective is to improve the performance and safety of EV batteries and drive innovation in the field of battery Digital Twins.Key Responsibilities:Develop Machine Learning based models for forecasting of battery temperature and health.Develop components of a battery model, including system integration, data processing, data quality control, and data visualization.Create AI-based optimization models for thermal and health management of EV batteries.Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based user interfaces.Prepare technical reports, presentations, and research publications.Job Requirements:Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Energy EngineeringHands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including deploying and managing cloud-based applications.Familiarity with integrating front-end web interfaces with backend systems and APIs.Familiarity with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).Understanding of battery management systems (BMS)Proficiency in Machine Learning models such as Reinforcement Learning and Deep Neural NetworksProficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, and JavascriptExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English for research purposeAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentWe regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
