Summary We are searching for a suitable candidate to fill our Scoot flight dispatcher / Junior flight dispatcher position. You will be a part of the Scoot IOCC - Flight Dispatch team and will be the 'flight dispatcher' managing flight planning for the entire scoot fleet . You will work closely with Flight operations, Engineering, Ground Operations to ensure smooth flight operations and management of daily flight planningJob DescriptionFlight Planninga) Compute operational flight plans for all TR flights ex-SIN & ex-station to ensure sufficient fuel for the safe completion of flight according to aircraft type, maintenance limitations (MEL), weather conditions, and minimum fuel requirements as guided by the Singapore ANR and company policies.
b) Ensure the correct application of Company Fuel Policy as per OMA and SOPs applicable to various destinations and city pairs
c) Analyze and evaluate all available meteorological information to determine potential safety hazards to flight safety, and select the most economical route
d) Review all relevant Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), telexes/faxes/email communications from TR stations
e) Ensure that fuel tankering is correctly implemented.
f) Preparing operational flight plans (OFP /OFP) with the appropriate maximum takeoff/landing weights, weather reports, airfield conditions, NOTAMs, and navigational charts, where applicable. File accurate ATS flight plans and sign the OFP as required.Weather-NOTAMS / Flight Monitoringa) Brief technical crew, where necessary, about re-routings in respect of tropical depressions/cyclones, volcanic eruptions, airspace closures, forecasted weather en-route, operational constraints, etc.
b) Monitor current meteorological information to determine potential safety hazards to en-route flights. Also, monitor operational messages (ACARS) along with OCC and respond to flight planning-related requests in a timely manner.Situation Handlinga) Respond to handling/notification/reporting of occurrences/hazards in accordance with Company policy
b) Support and provide assistance during all emergency/crisis situations as per the established procedures in current OMA, FDM, Crisis Manual and/or any other company manuals.
c) Coordinate with other departments, internal/external stakeholders via email/VHF radio/any other appropriate means with regards to flight/fuel planning information
d) Participate in bi-annual recurrent training courses covering aircraft systems, company SOP, meteorology, and navigational fundamentals as required by the Singapore ANR
e) Ensure that all qualifications remain current e.g., FAM flight, flight dispatch currency, etc.Skills:
