- Perform sleep monitoring according with protocol requirements.
- Monitor trial participants during the sleep monitoring sessions.
- Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data, establish/document baseline values and to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection processes.
- Perform appropriate physiological calibration to ensure proper signals and make required adjustments.
- Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure and other significant events in order to facility scoring and interpretation of polysomnography results.
- Score sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
- Score clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movement, arousals, etc) using industry standards.
- Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to use polysomnographic equipment.
- Perform routine equipment care, maintenance and cleaning of of polysomnographic equipment.
- Board Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT).
- Comply with required regulations and guidelines for clinical trials.
- Comply with professional standards of conduct.
- Demonstrate appropriate skills (communication, social, customer service, computer, etc.) essential for the role.
- Able to perform shift work, primarily at night.
