Winstedt is keen to pursue projects that lead to continual improvement from helping students narrow the gaps in their learning journey to charting individual pathways for its students.Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Speech Therapy Intern will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Therapist (SLT) to support the provision of speech and language services for students with communication needs. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic school environment, assisting with the evaluation, planning, and implementation of therapy sessions for students across a range of ages and abilities.Key Responsibilities:

Observe and assist in conducting speech and language screenings, assessments, and therapy sessions.
Support individual and small group intervention activities under direct supervision.
Help prepare therapy materials, visual aids, and communication tools for student sessions.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of student progress and session notes.
Assist with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under the direction of the supervising SLP.
Collaborate with teachers, learning support staff, and other educational professionals to support student communication goals.
Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and parent conferences as appropriate.
Maintain compliance with school policies and professional ethics in all aspects of student care.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Speech-Language Therapy Degree program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
Eligible for clinical placement or internship through academic institution.
Passionate about working with children and supporting inclusive education.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Reliable, professional, and eager to learn in a school environment.
