Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details:Job Summary:This construction site-based role will support and report directly to the Program Manager delivering multi-year Design and Build training facility construction projects and programs in Singapore and Asia Pacific.The Site Manager will have responsibility for day-to-day and long-term management and coordination of construction site activities throughout site mobilisation, construction, installation, and handover to client; this shall include resources such as labour, external subcontractors, plant, equipment and machinery, material suppliers and deliveries etc.The Site Manager shall be part of a Cubic Management team including Program Manager, Planners, Designers, Procurement, Contracts Management, Consultants etc. with regular inputs required from the Site Engineer to facilitate design management, formal responses to technical questions, preparing technical documents, supply chain coordination, coordinating with Client and their other external contractors working on the same site, internal and client project/program performance reviews, developing and delivering training manuals, and developing and executing bespoke training programs.In addition to live fire range training facility design and build, this role also supports delivery of associated long-term Operation and Maintenance management, responding to future tenders, supporting business development and growth within the region for simulation, electronic targetry and other Cubic training systems (e.g. Force-Tracking); product demonstrations within Singapore and overseas.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Developing technical solutions, specifications designs and associated documentation.
  • Identifying, assessing and managing external suppliers and subcontractors
  • Supporting and providing inputs to Program Manager for monthly program cost and progress forecasts whilst ensuring that design and build projects stay within budget and schedule.
  • Identifying technical risks that could impact projects; develops and manages appropriate risk mitigations and solutions
  • Work and coordinate with various internal departments and business functions based overseas.
  • Ensures that Company quality policies, procedures and standards are being adhered to.
  • Establishes a safety culture by following all rules and procedures, reporting that promotes safe work practices.
  • Health, Safety and Environmental management such as writing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments in accordance with all BCA, WSHC, MOM etc requirements.
  • Actively contributes to, and participates in, company health and safety initiatives and promotes 5S.
  • Ensures staff follow company security policies and procedures
  • Develops strong relationships and partnerships with suppliers and customers.
  • Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting material and equipment integration design issues as required.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
  • Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Organization and/or the Authority
  • Any other duties as and when assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bsc. Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful, construction site management experience including systems integration e.g. building services, equipment. .
  • Experienced in application of construction and fitout equipment, materials, tools, methodologies and best-practice e.g. lifting and access equipment, fixtures, fittings, etc.; including interpretation of relevant OEM and industry technical guidance.
  • Experienced in interpreting design drawings and specifications required for application to the phasing and delivery of site activities whilst ensuring safety, quality and performance of completed work achieves client requirements; includes recommending improvements.
  • Experienced in applying relevant construction industry guidance and regulations to delivery and management of construction site activities.
  • Project Management skills including stakeholder management, financial management, project scheduling, resourcing dependency management, risk management.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Project and Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, subcontractors and vendors, and to deal with employees and managers at all levels and across all departments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage large complex integration projects.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed based on specific project requirements.
