- Be a subject matter expert (SME) to provide technical expertise and consultancy to HTDs • Be a champion and technical expert to lead and drive automation initiatives to achieve improved effectiveness and efficiency in service delivery • Work with teams during the Project Planning Phase to incorporate Maintenance and Support Design Thinking as part of Project Requirements. • Lead the implementation of new initiatives and infrastructure enhancements to meet the needs of HTDs, ICT infrastructure technology refresh. Eg. automation • Work with teams and manage vendors to plan, manage and deliver projects to ensure they meet contractual and Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance, and to take appropriate corrective actions. • Implement, manage, maintain ICT security measures, and remediate cybersecurity audit findings and ensure compliance to government policies. • Work with System Owners and lead the Operations and Support (O&S) teams to ensure that the O&S teams and contracted vendors have sufficient capability to manage the systems under their care in order to support MHA/HTX's operational needs throughout their life cycle. • Identify, evaluate and recommend technical solutions that are cost effective and meet requirements, and procure ICT system to meet MHA/HTX's operational needs, eg. obsolescence management, system refresh, and mid-life upgrade approaches. • Plan, budget, prepare technical specifications and manage the progress and budget of projects and resolve arising issues so as to ensure the timely completion of the projects as scheduled. • Establish and induct best practices in maintenance and support. • Formulate Operation and Support Standards for Infra Systems across MHA/HTX for ease of maintenance. • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or Management.
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering, or equivalent • A good grasp of IT industry best practices and processes, and keeps abreast of advances in technology and best practices • Strong technical skills in project, contract, and vendor management • Government Home Team Ops knowledge and good understanding of their systems and networks are preferred. • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels • Strong and effective communication skills (both oral and written), presentation, negotiation • Strong project management skills (e.g. negotiation, contact management) • Proficiency with Microsoft tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Apps, Power BI, UiPath and Python. All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
