Accept ClosePress Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkSearch JobsJob DescriptionJob Title: Research Assistant (Centre for Trusted Internet and Community)Posting Start Date: 18/08/2025Job Description:Job DescriptionThe Centre for Trusted Internet and Community (CTIC) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant (RA) under the Digital Trust Centre project. The successful candidate will work closely with the research team on developing the trustworthiness of AI agents engaged in interactive digital tasks. Interested candidates should have relevant background in multimodal foundation models, AI agents, and spatial intelligence.The RA will assist in research design, implementation, experiments, and publications, contributing to advancing the state of the art in AI.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct literature reviews and contribute to problem formulation in the areas of multimodal AI, LLMs, and agent systems
  • Develop and implement AI models, algorithms, and experimental pipelines (Python/PyTorch/GitHub/Linux, etc.)
  • Support data collection, preprocessing, and analysis across multiple modalities (text, image, video, audio)
  • Collaborate with Professors, Research fellows, PhD students, and other research partners
  • Assist in preparing research manuscripts, technical reports, and presentations
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to team discussions
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields (Master's degree preferred)
  • Strong background in machine learning / deep learning; familiarity with multimodal learning, natural language processing, or computer vision is an advantage
  • Proficiency in programming (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and related ML libraries)
  • Research experience in relevant AI areas (e.g., foundation models, reasoning, generative models, embodied AI) will be highly valued
  • Strong problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently as well as in a team
