What the role is:The candidate will be part of a team that plans and executes strategies for the development of national and international info-communications standards to help in driving the Singapore digital economy. This includes facilitating and promoting national info-communication standards to encourage adoption within the info-communication industry.Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement and manage new standards programme within Telecommunication/ IT standards committee.
  • Undertake engagement/collaborative proceedings with industry members (both domestic and international) to work towards developing relevant national info-communication standards.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders in adoption and implementation of standards, technical references, guidelines and/or best practices.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the policy domain and standards in global landscape and industry.
  • Participate and/or contribute to international standardisations discussions in identified technical domain areas.
  • Support ad-hoc projects, events and/or research.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Communication Engineering or relevant disciplines.
  • Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated interest and willingness to learn and understand new technologies.
  • Good understanding of info-communication domains such as 5G, AI, Sustainability, Network Security, etc. is desired.
  • Familiar with info-communication standardisation works will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant field(s).
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Team player, with good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Self-driven, agile, and able to operate in evolving environment.
  • Good in report writing and communication skills.
