Engineer / Senior Engineer (Gas Transmission Planning)

- Plan for long-term gas network infrastructure needs based on demand projections from authorities.
- Plan for gas transmission projects such as customer connections, infrastructure projects, diversions, etc., including but not limited to preparing proposals and project costings.
- Coordinate and liaise with various external parties, such as authorities, agencies, and internal stakeholders on gas planning matters.
- Evaluate the impact of the external parties' future developments to gas network and pipeline.
- Consult and coordinate with internal stakeholders in collating information.
- Ensure timely and well-informed responses to external enquiries and consultations.
- Prepare and perform network simulations by collating and studying field data on the gas network from multiple sources independently to derive network trends and modelling assumptions.
- Use specialized gas hydraulic modelling software to perform network simulations to ascertain feasibility of the new gas transmission project
- Work with multiple parties to develop, maintain and carry out validation testing on gas network simulation models
- Regular review of planning cost estimate templates and last mile connection charges
- Plan for gas transmission projects budget provision
- Review of planning policies, guidelines and processes
- Manage and train team of technical officers for gas transmission planning works
- Degree in Mechanical or equivalent degree recognized by the Singapore PE Board
- Proactive with strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourceful and meticulous
- Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work both independently as well as in a team
