What the role is:You develop, review plans and specify steps to achieve Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) long-term sustainability related goals within the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).What you will be working on:On this, you develop the RSAF climate migration and adaptation plans and roadmaps (e.g. Green Fuel Trials, Climate Change Impact to Operating Environment Studies and Renewable Energy Adoption.) You develop sustainability education plans and approach to increase sustainability/climate change literacy in the RSAF. You develop and implement information management plans to support and guide the profiling of key sustainability/climate initiatives within the RSAF. You are also in charge of gathering requirements for budgeting and cost-benefit analysis for each project. In addition, you support, manage and execute common sustainability related projects coordinated at the SAF level. You collate the RSAF sustainability/climate change efforts and table progress reports to the respective forums. You perform secretariat duties for RSAF-level sustainability forums. Lastly, you organise defence related engagements in sustainability (e.g. Global Air Forces Climate Change Collaboration), as well as support and collaborate with like minded Air Forces to exchange best practices.What we are looking for:You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths), with at least 6 years' experience in environmental sustainability, climate change, policy review and formulation and/or project management in building infrastructural projects/works. Possession of strong analytical skills, inquisitive and proactive aptitude in seeking out areas for improvements in existing systems, strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills is essential. Having the ability to work well both independently and in a team with many relevant stakeholders across different internal/external agencies and services is required. You must exhibit strong drive, meticulousness and resourcefulness. You should also possess the ability to excel in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment.
