- Establish training needs through the identification of competency and capability development gaps and draw up strategies, policies and programmes to address these needs
- Develop a long-term multi-competency training framework for SFA, to enable structured and timely training and lead to formal certification of SFA training programmes
- Distil information from SFA's SOPs and knowledge management databases, and work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate them into training materials. This may also involve supporting efforts in documenting knowledge from SFA's experience in food regulatory, supply and safety, to strengthen SFA's knowledge management.
- Develop the framework for design, content creation and curriculum development. Partner with and provide training design guidance to subject matter experts to plan, engage with stakeholders and develop relevant training content and delivery.
- Lead in the application of training theories and tools, including the use of e-learning and other learning technologies. This will involve procuring and managing the vendors providing technology solutions, and engaging with SMEs to curate the use of technologies in training programmes in SFA.
- Nurture and groom trainers to meet professional training standards and assessments
- Conduct regular reviews, analysis, and propose improvements, to maintain the effectiveness and relevance of training
- Manage training operations so as to ensure timely delivery of effective and efficient HR services.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in training or education
- Strong written and communication skills
- Proactive and resourceful
- Able to work independently, and in a team
- Good EQ and able to work with stakeholders of all levels
- Certification in education/ instructional design/ training/ courseware development, and knowledge in content authoring tools such as Articulate would be advantageous
