You are responsible for building strong client relationships, make a validated difference to the client’s business and for overall client happiness. As Team Leader, you will be handling an impactful team with responsibility for its people, clients and business delivery and growth. You are also accountable for supervising the entire process, deliverables, client engagement and consultancy, providing insightful, valuable market intelligence to new and existing clients. As one of the senior leaders in the team, you will also support the implementation of broader business initiatives sought at transforming the way we work and deepening the proven experience.The Role:Client Management and Consultancy (30%)
  • Apply expert level of knowledge and understanding of your clients and their business in all interactions with clients. Deliverables and analysis conducted applies this knowledge and commercial implications and realities. Knowledge including;
  • Key clients, key collaborators and their needs
  • The client’s business and strategy
  • Client brands and communication activity
  • Client markets and competitors
  • Deliver effective advice and consultancy for your clients
  • Instigate and facilitate client discussions to better understand their business issues
  • Challenge the status quo and encourage fresh thinking
  • Experienced interpretation of data and ability to articulate insights clearly and impact fully
  • Provide a comprehensive point of view on brand, media and communications issues aligned with Kantar philosophies
  • Develop positive relationships with clients to the extent they are first port of call across all accounts for strategic opinions and advice
  • Present impact fully regularly across all accounts
  • Demonstrate confidence and strong social skills in client facing situations
  • Chair client and agency meetings
  • Advise clients and problem solve client issues independently with NO supervision from manager
  • Develops and implements account management plans for key clients
  • Generate ideas and consult with account teams to develop case studies to demonstrate value we bring for clients.
  • Ensure impact reviews meet required standards, and include client feedback where appropriate for all presentations
Fieldwork and Analysis (20%)
  • Crafts appropriate research solutions to drive significant insight for clients’ needs and their business
  • Formulate, articulate and validate hypotheses to help build appropriate, relevant and impactful stories
  • Understand, interpret and synthesise data from various sources (e.g. sales data, trends, qualitative data)
  • Ensuring insights are translated into engaging stories with clear and concise implications that will help clients make better marketing decisions
  • Integrate knowledge of Kantar tools, philosophies and techniques and applies these appropriately to the design, analysis and interpretation of research projects to deliver significant insights
  • Sees opportunities to deepen insights for clients using further analysis including Kantar and external takeaways as appropriate
  • Cultivates analysis and research skills, along with brand and advertising knowledge across reports on all accounts
  • Stays ahead of learning and development in the field of market research and allied academic subject areas
  • Contributes to roll outs of regional/global launches, actively looking for opportunity to introduce them to clients and to make valuable contributions to accounts
Account Management (10%)
  • Leading accounts to allow the team deliver all account deliverables while working to agreed budgets, and course-corrects where required
  • Ensures all deliverables meet client needs and generate strong insight and impact for clients business
  • Delegates to team effectively, providing constructive feedback and support for other account members to ensure account responsibilities and deliverables are met to a high standard in agreed timelines
  • Ensure account efficiency and profitability across all accounts
People Management (15-20%)
  • Improve individual and team performance and efficiency through effective people management
  • Leads 1-2 line reports, giving ongoing feedback, conducting monthly catch-ups and annual appraisals
  • Identifies, sets and communicates clear objectives to develop and mentor line report’s careers, and articulates performance against these objectives
  • Coaches and develops account team members through constructive feedback to identify areas of strength, and areas required for improvement
  • Optimally delegates tasks where appropriate
  • Mentors juniors on day to day tasks
  • Participates in the recruitment and training of more junior team members as appropriate
  • Responsibility for facilitating career development across the team, balancing with the needs of the business
  • Leads performance management process, as and when required
  • Completes all Performance Appraisals Process responsibilities on time
  • Sets clear and timely 3-months probation and year-end objectives for direct reports and approves the same for direct reports’ reports
  • Fully engages in wider Kantar initiatives and contributes to the Kantar organization (training, learning, recruitment processes, team/social events etc)
Business Development and Financial Management (10-15%)
  • Builds strong relationships and delivers to account responsibilities sufficiently to retain clients and maintain existing business
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities to grow existing client business, revenue and profitability
  • Actively seeks new business opportunities and plays an active role in developing them to achieve personal and team budget
  • Develops and implements new business strategy with the senior team
  • Responds to and drives new business opportunities from time to time through:
  • Collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs
  • Designing research solutions
  • Preparing accurate costs
  • Preparing proposals
  • Speaking publicly in pitches
  • Review account and project profitability to understand opportunities to enhance financial performance for future project
  • Account forecasting of accounts and new business
  • Completes timesheets accurately and on time
