[What the role is] This role will sit within our IT Operations Division – Systems Management team.[What you will be working on]Design, implement, and maintain Unix-based systems and infrastructure, including RHEL, Middleware (JBOSS, MQ), and SatelliteDevelop and manage automation scripts and Ansible playbooks to streamline operations and improve efficiencyExecute migrations from existing Unix platforms and implement continuous improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performanceEnsure compliance, service uptime, quality, and resilience of Unix platforms through Day 2 OperationsImplement configuration management following industry standards such as CIS[What we are looking for]A relevant university degree with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.Proven experience in Unix system administration and engineering, particularly with Redhat linuxExperience with virtualization technologies (VMware / OpenStack)Proficiency in shell scripting, python, and automation tools (Ansible / Puppet)Familiarity with version control systems, configuration management tools, and cloud platformsExperience in supporting critical systems and implementing security best practicesExperience in implementing configuration standards (e.g., CIS) with drift managementRelevant industry certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE) are beneficialExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong service-oriented mindset with focus on operational excellenceEnthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to evolving IT landscapesAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.This is a 2-year contract position.
