- Collect, clean, and preprocess large-scale idea network and text data from online platforms.
- Construct and analyze knowledge graphs and network structures, including measures such as embeddedness, bridging, and structural holes.
- Perform semantic and machine learning analyses, including generating embeddings with LLMs (e.g., BERT,Sentence-BERT) and conducting topic modeling.
- Develop and implement econometric and statistical models to examine the impacts of network attributes andknowledge diversity on idea success.
- Prepare research manuscripts, presentations, and reports for journal/conference submissions.
- Support academic activities, such as workshops, research meetings, or seminars related to the project.• Contribute to software tools, scripts, or code libraries developed during the project for reproducibility and future use.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, AI, Statistics, ComputationalSocial Science, or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning; with particular focus onnetwork analytics, knowledge graph, or natural language processing (NLP).
- Proficiency in programming software/languages such as Python and R is required, including experience with relevant libraries for data analytics, network analysis, and machine learning.
- Proven track record and professional experience in network analytics, graph-based modeling, and large-scale data processing.
- Demonstrated experience and know-how on knowledge graph construction, semantic embedding (e.g., BERT), LLMs, and NLP.
- Excellent working knowledge of network analysis methods (e.g., eigenvector centrality, structural holes, PageRank)
- Technical skills in data collection, preprocessing, and visualization of large-scale network and text data.
- Ability to break down complex problems and design effective solutions computationally.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to propose and implement novel analytical approaches.
- Applicants with research publications in network science, knowledge graph, NLP, or data-driven innovation analytics will be advantageous.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile academic research team is essential.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members to deliver research outputs on time.
