
Support Engineer with MongoDB and Networking

- Troubleshoot connectivity issues between MongoDB nodes and client applications.
- Verify port accessibility, DNS resolution, and firewall rules related to MongoDB services.
- Follow established support workflows and runbooks.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system and MongoDB problems.
- Monitor network and MongoDB performance and ensure system availability and reliability, respond to alerts or support tickets.
- Perform network maintenance and system and MongoDB upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and support.
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Support disaster recovery and backup initiatives.
- Log and track incidents with clear documentation.
- 24/7 standby support as part of operations model.
- Knowledge of MongoDB and its architecture.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line usage.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana), network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
- Familiarity with firewalls, NAT, and network security best practice.
- Experience in Cisco and Checkpoint environments.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
