- Be responsible for the management of new products and instruments across multiple asset classes including fixed income and currencies, equities, and derivatives.
- Partner closely with investment departments and portfolio managers on their new product requests, ensuring product features and business requirements are clearly spelt out and aligned with business priorities.
- Manage and coordinate the requirements of specialist stakeholders from Trading, Operations, Risk, Data, Legal and Compliance, Tax and Technology.
- Engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Work across business units to resolve bottlenecks and manage risks.
- Drive consensus and communicate plans and results to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain a OneGIC perspective and deliver results which are beneficial for both individual businesses and the whole of GIC.
- Develop content knowledge and be able to dive deep into any topic that comes your way.
- Identify areas for improvement in business processes.
- Simplify complex topics and create innovative solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of relevant working experience, either in new products/instruments, project management, and/or business management for trading, fixed income, or derivatives businesses.
- Familiarity with derivatives operations, processing, accounting, and risk control.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal) to deliver desired results.
- Ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes
- Strong problem-solving track record and ability to identify complex risks early to develop actionable mitigation plans.
- Ambitious and proactive: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel VBA macros)
- Experience in business process analysis, design, and implementation.
- Experience in automation of processes and ability to program (e.g., using Python) a plus.
