- Manage and execute the contract-to-pay process (from tender phase to contract close-out) in the project and/or prospects assigned to. This includes:
- request for quotations; preparation of bid recommendations and contractual documents for tenders
- preparation of responses to the variation order requests and associated correspondences
- drafting of correspondences, variation orders, variation requests; counterclaim / disputes strategies
- Ensure that clear and accurate records of contractual matters are maintained and monitor key dates, against dates defined in the contracts
- Direct, lead, supervise, and train the project contract management team members assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, providing inputs on project contract management team members' performance review
- Observe strict confidentiality for all contractual and commercial documentation and data, specifically during tendering phases and seek to maximize value and minimize risk for BWO in all matters
- Develop and implement project contracting plans
- Implement client's flow-downs requirements into Tenders, Contracts and Project contracting plan
- Adhere to the contracting practices, procedures and standards published within BWO's Management System
- Perform project contracting duties including key responsibility for negotiations, troubleshooting and act as an escalation point for issues between the Project contract team members and various project stakeholders and contractors / subcontractors
- Ensure that all project required contractors and subcontractors are qualified according to the relevant procedures
- Provide regular status and progress reporting to clients, projects and management
- Actively work with the Sourcing Analyst to drive and build up business intelligence for the relevant markets, cost drivers, contractors and sub-contractors
- Ensure any issues or areas of concerns surrounding daily activities or cross-department activities involving Legal, Insurance, Finance, HSEQ and other departments are reported in a timely manner to the Supply Chain Contract Manager
- Possess a relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Ideally ten (10) years of relevant experience, primarily in the area of contracting
- Substantial experience in the technical, contractual and commercial issues related to design, engineering, fabrication and constructions contracts for Offshore Facilities for the Oil and Gas industry
- Substantial experience in claims management, claims prevention such as Extension of Time Claims, Disruption claims and/or Quantum claims
- Quantity Surveyor background is an advantage
- International experience in offshore oil and gas industry is an advantage
- Team player with a strong ability to lead

- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work and lead in a multicultural and multi-location set-up
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Good understanding and knowledge of the technical, contractual and commercial issues related to design and engineering and construction of Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading vessels
- Experience with IFS, SharePoint and other IT systems is an advantage
