Storage Engineer

• Manage SAN zoning and fabric connections.
• Create and manage LUNs across multiple systems.
• Maintain and repair HPE 3PAR and StoreOnce appliances.
• Monitor storage performance and usage.
• Handle backups using OpenView Data Protector.
• Operate tape and virtual library systems.
• Conduct regular disaster recovery drills.
• Support data migrations and hardware upgrades.
• Design scalable and reliable storage solutions.
• Improve existing storage infrastructure.
• Apply patches and firmware upgrades.
• Integrate with enterprise systems.
• Propose and implement new backup strategies (especially using StoreOnce).
• Handle complex technical escalations.

• 3-5 years in enterprise storage environments.
• ITIL Foundation certified.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• HPE 3PAR (7200/7400/8400), EVA series
• StoreOnce (4500/5100/3540)
• Familiar with Tru64 Unix and Windows Server.
• Experienced with SAN switch configurations and performance checks.
• Knowledge of storage replication and clustering.
• Proficient in OpenView Data Protector and SAN management tools.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation abilities.
• Great team collaboration and communication.
• Process-driven with attention to change control and risk.
• Client-focused and comfortable in SLA-driven environments.
