You will work with specific clients to place risks with reinsurers, assisting with the negotiation of effective terms to ensure client needs are best met in relation to pricing and cover, as well as participating in team meetings and client calls. ...The ideal incumbent is expected to support the Account Handlers and Executives with preparing and reviewing submissions and slip wordings and ensuring that information presented to the market is comprehensive and accurate.
You will be required to prepare and update quoting and placement progress reports and assist with negotiations with the underwriters to place reinsurance that balances quality, coverage and price.skills and experience required

Prior treaty reinsurance knowledge, experience in a customer-focused environment
Competent IT skills, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a high-pressured and constantly evolving environment
Eye for detail and an analytical mind as well as strong decision-making skills
