- Overall responsible for the functions of warehousing and delivery.
- Managing warehouse and transport staff.
- Ensure appropriate warehouse function that stock integrity is maintained.
- Responsible for total customer care and satisfaction in terms of services provided.
- Responsible in maintaining good business relationships with internal and external customers.
- To ensure complete understanding and knowledge of the system and processes of logistics by the customers.
- Supervising movement and storage of goods and making sure the quality, quantity, efficiency is kept intact.
- Properly maintaining the order cycle and related information systems.
- Analyzing data to judge performance and figure out the necessary improvements.
- Ensure inspection results and status is applied appropriately.
- Search for new business contracts, analyzing problems of logistics and coming up with new solutions.
- Forecasting obstacles and develop contingency plan based on likely changes.
- Responsible for employing and assigning personnel/ staff to facilitate coordination of transfers of goods or stocks.
- Control of reject bay and ensure non-conforming products are label.
- Recruitment of staff, organizing of necessary training and performance management of the staff.
- Review and approve the Corrective/ Preventive Action for out-going inspection failure.
- Recommend management systems improvement measures to the immediate superior.
- Implement management systems procedures and monitor management systems performance relating to Logistics function.
- Ensure management systems objectives are defined and implemented.
- Manage and accountable for a business P&L and maintain and protect gross margin and net profit levels.
- Lead and support all project activities such as project planning, solution design as well as monitoring the progress of the assigned functional scope in the project.
- Nominated as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for STP-Plus.
- Responsible for the security of goods/ cargos and conveyance within each facility.
- Assist RA leader to conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective risk control measures.
- Ensure that adequate safety measures are taken for any machinery, equipment or process used at the workplace.
- To follow the company’s procedures, safety rules and measures stated in the WSH Risk Assessment.
- Not to engage in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger yourself or others working around you.
- The responsibilities to participate in protecting the environment, preventing pollution, complying with applicable requirements as identified in the policy statements and promoting sustainable practices.
- Ensure staff that performs work duties that may have a significant environmental impact is competent, based on appropriate training, instruction or experience. Other duties as assigned.
- On-hold of delivery and warehousing operations in the event of non-conformity until they are resolved.
- Rejects materials that fail in-coming/ out-going inspections.
- Approval of leave application for immediate staff.
- Approval of claims for immediate staff based on policies.
- Performance review for immediate staff and recommendation for promotion.
- Counseling and disciplinary action, including termination/ dismissal (review with immediate superior and HR).
- Interview and Selection.
- Offer of employment (review together with HR) to Executive Level and below.
- Degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Operational, Logistics background and People Management. Must possess the knowledge with all Road and Transport Operations regulations.
- Experience in planning and managing a Supply Chain.
- Substantial experience of operations management, transportation management.
- Prior experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) industry with experience in areas of traffic, manpower, vendor management, productivity improvement, work measurement, work methods and standards, financial analysis.
- Operational sound, willing to roll up the sleeves when necessary with hands on approach. Customer orientation, good people skills and able to work with people at all levels.
- Highly numerate, meticulous and process driven, able to sustain high-levels of performance over a long period of time.
- Good business sense and comfortable with customer & vendor commercial dealings, strong ability to work and deliver results under stressful and challenging conditions.
- Tolerance for ambiguity and able to problem-solve complex issues independently, with minimal supervision.
- Able to generate goodwill and seek collaboration from regulators, senior management, peers as well as the overall business community.
- Good ability to work in a fast-moving working environment with intense deadlines and constraints. Strong leadership, management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations.
- A comprehensive understanding of market trends, company strategies, bookkeeping and market development.
- Supervising and delegating work to subordinates and ability to evaluate their performance.
- Abide by Company’s policies and procedures at all time.
