The security architect will be assisting and often leading the overall strategy & design of 8x8’s security and network infrastructure. They will be partnering with other teams to unify the security architecture strategy and frameworks into one cohesive security roadmap supporting the overall security function objectives.Responsibilities:Enhances security team accomplishments and competencies by planning the delivery of solutions and answering technical questions.Plans, research, designs and documents security architecture for Security, IT, and Network systems.Develops, reviews, and approves installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and related network and security devices.Evaluate new and current technologies that can be used to better secure and simplify security requirements.Determines security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements.Responds to, and investigates, security incidents and provides thorough post-event analyses.Develops project timelines for current and future projects.Coordinate between several different parts of the enterprise.Reviews system security measures and recommends necessary enhancements.Collaborate with internal teams to integrate security measures into overall network design.Provide guidance and education on security best practices.Work closely with the governance, risk, and compliance team to make sure 8x8 is following industry regulations and standards.Provide training to Junior members of the team.Perform other duties as assigned by management in an efficient and professional manner.Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.Qualifying Experience and Attributes:Extensive experience in Security Architecture or related field.Knowledge of cybersecurity frames works I.E. NIST, ISO 27001, CISA, CIS, etc.Understanding and experience with security technologies I.E.
