
Senior Manager (Global Trade & Compliance)

- Lead operational oversight of the company's classification strategy and technology management framework.
- Act as the primary contact for complex trade compliance matters and interface with local authorities where necessary.
- Establish and implement local global trade processes in alignment with global policy, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Enforce compliance with Singapore's Strategic Goods Control Regulations and U.S. EAR/ITAR laws, including authority to hold/stop shipments where risks are identified.
- Oversee Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), ECCN, and strategic goods classifications across the APAC region.
- Serve as classification focal point, driving classifier training, process optimization, and risk-based reviews.
- Support internal audits, self-assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives related to global trade and customs governance.
- Develop and deploy training programs aligned with global trade compliance requirements.
- Support the reporting of trade compliance metrics and risk indicators to global stakeholders.
- Partner cross-functionally with enterprise teams to drive harmonized trade compliance strategies.
- Degree in Foreign Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering (preferred for technical classification).
- Minimum 5 years in a trade compliance or classification leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with U.S. export control frameworks (ITAR/EAR) and Singapore's Strategic Goods Control Regulations.
- Strong experience in classification, customs compliance, and trade risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically.
- Prior experience in matrixed, fast-paced environments.
- Certification as a Strategic Goods Control Officer is a strong advantage.
