We welcome you to join our team as: SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, MENTAL CAPACITY, ADOPTION & PROBATE FAMILY PROTECTION & SUPPORT DIVISION FAMILY JUSTICE COURTS The successful candidate will manage a team of registry officers handling Mental Capacity, Adoption and Probate (MAP) applications at the Family Justice Courts.What you will be working on:Operations & Team Leadership • Oversee daily registry operations and provide leadership to a team of registry officers handling MAP applications • Drive service excellence in both physical counter operations and virtual services (phone/video-conferencing) • Manage complex case enquiries from law firms, government agencies, and self-represented litigants • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and service delivery Case Management • Supervise system casefile management and daily grant issuance processes • Review and resolve case management issues, including system-related matters • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures and guidelines for MAP applications Stakeholder Management & Development • Collaborate with key stakeholders including the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Ministry of Law (MinLaw) and Law Society • Participate in IT systems enhancement projects to improve registry operations • Lead community outreach initiatives to enhance public awareness and access to MAP services Process Excellence • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and implement streamlined processes • Guide the team in continuous improvement projects • Contribute to the development of best practices in registry operations • Participate in cross-divisional projectsWhat we are looking for:
  • Preferably 7 to 10 years of relevant working experience, including 3 years in supervision • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal skills • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities • Proficiency in MS Office 365 • Knowledge of eLitigation system is advantageous • Problem-solving mindset with ability to work in fast-paced environment • Resilient team player who can work independently The successful candidate will be appointed on a one-year probationary contract in the first instance.
