[What the role is] You will be part of the Programmes Team, overseeing grants management including putting in place grants governance and compliance practices to ensure robust controls and standards across programme implementation. The role focuses on strengthening operational frameworks, managing audit processes, and driving continuous improvement in compliance measures.[What you will be working on]Required Skills and Competencies:Compliance and Governance: Develop and implement controls and safeguards across programmes to ensure alignment with organisational policies and regulatory requirementsAudit Management: Supporting the Programmes Team on programme audits, including preparation of documentation and implementation/follow-up of audit recommendationsProcess Enhancement: Drive process improvements to enhance grant governance across various stages of the programme life cycleSystems and Verification: Oversee the development and implementation of compliance monitoring frameworks, including system checks and verification processesRisk Management: Conduct regular reviews of existing processes and systems to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation measuresStakeholder Management: Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g. programme partners) to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and resolution of governance matters. This includes:Translating complex programme requirements into clear guidelines for programme partners to ensure consistency and compliance across various programmesWorking with second line and third line to drive grant governance efforts across WSG and implement measures under the grants governance framework[What we are looking for]Relevant experience in accounting, finance and compliance reviews and audits from commercial or professional audit environments would be advantageousKnowledge/Skills:Good understanding of governance frameworks and compliance requirementsExperience in process review and enhancementDemonstrated ability to drive process improvements and change managementStrong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholdersAbilities/Aptitudes:Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication skills with ability to explain complex requirements clearlyProactive team player with good interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectivelyAll applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
