CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.This role is responsible of providing logistical support by ensuring the service integrity within the logistics chain, while researching and proposing relevant cost-effective solutions. In addition to the logistical support, you will also be required to manage KPI and maintain systems as an administratorResponsibilities and duties1. Newbuild Logistics (60%):
- Coordinate and follow shipments of all orders related to New Building Vessel via logistic chain from supplier to in-house warehouse, and to shipyard and/or vessel.
- Facilitates and expedites for PO deliveries whenever required.
- Close cooperation with Freight Forwarders, Purchasers and Newbuild Logistics Supervisors in Shipyards.
- Consult and share with NB Project Managers on logistics' quotations prior to arrangement.
- Negotiate with freight forwarders on cost and delivery lead time to achieve the most economical logistics solution.
- Ensures that freight forwarders' stock lists are well managed within CMA Ships expectations.
- Monitor PO status updates done by Freight Forwarders and NB Logistics Supervisors to ensure all completed in accordance with our logistics process.
- Updates excel database on OFE List, Logistics Tracking file.
- Uploads shipping documents & PODs into Share point.
- Participates in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Verification of monthly invoices from freight forwarders before submission to the Finance team.
- Participates in continuous improvement plans as required.
- Assist with tabulation of logistics data and KPIs
- Cover duties of colleagues who are on leave
- Liaising with Superintendents and Purchasers for ship spares logistics arrangement
- Provide logistics solution for connection of ship spares to target vessel
- Controlling cost and delivery lead time to achieve the most economical logistics solution
- Close coordination with 3rd Party Logistics Provider to ensure shipping instructions are executed
- Monitor PO status updates done by Freight Forwarders to ensure all completed in accordance with our logistics process.
- Monitoring and addressing stock-list inaccuracy with the various 3PLs
- Resolve service failures with 3rd Party Logistics Provider
- Requesting of quotation for freight cost for ship spares whenever necessary
- Verification of invoices received from 3PL
- Updating Procurement System with delivery data
- Cover duties of colleagues who are on leave
- Required:
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Marine / Offshore Logistics.
- Minimum Degree in Supply Chain, Project Management or its equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of main conveyance modes, warehousing, custom clearance and incoterms
- Excellent skill in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
