Cargo Officer Trainee

• Assist in Cargo Operations: Support senior cargo officers in loading, unloading, stowage, and securing of cargo to ensure safe and efficient vessel turnaround.

• Maintain Cargo Documentation: Accurately record cargo details, update checklists, and ensure all relevant documentation is completed and filed according to company standards.

• Adhere to Safety and Regulatory Standards: Follow all safety protocols, participate in safety drills, and ensure compliance with company, statutory, and maritime regulations during cargo operations.

• Participate in Shift and Vessel Duties: Perform assigned shift-based duties, take part in vessel watchkeeping, and remain onboard as required by operational schedules.

• Develop Professional Competencies: Engage in training activities, seek feedback, and progressively take on more responsibilities to prepare for promotion to Cargo Officer upon successful programme completion.

• Willingness to Work Onboard and on Shifts: Flexible to work rotating shifts and reside onboard the vessel as per operational needs.

• Effective Communication Skills: Able to communicate clearly and professionally with crew, officers, and shore-based personnel.

• Meticulous and Responsible: High attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and consistent follow-through on tasks.

• Positive Attitude and Learning Mindset: Demonstrates proactivity, openness to feedback, and a commitment to developing new competencies.
