What the role is:Assistant Manager, Land Management (Environmental Team)You will be part of the team that develops and sets soil management policies in Singapore, as well as administering and managing environmental projectsWhat you will be working on:Lead and manage the development and implementation of environmental projects, including soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects, making a tangible impact on the environment and the communityActively participate in the development and implementation of environmental quality standards for Singapore, ensuring that our land is safe for future generationsReview and implement land policies and frameworks, shaping the future of land management in SingaporeDevelop and maintain a database of environmental quality data, providing critical information for land planning, maintenance, and regulation purposesLiaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and policiesPrepare tender documents and manage the procurement process for consultants and contractors, ensuring that we work with the best partners to achieve our goalsManage project finances, including budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring that we make the most of our resourcesWhat we are looking for:Background in Environment Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent or other related quantitative disciplineMust be able to operate independently, but at the same time be a team player and effectively work with teamsPositive attitude with strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levelsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience in soil and groundwater assessment or/and remediation related workHaving project management experience will be an advantage in this roleAbout Singapore Land Authority:The mission of the Singapore Land Authority is to optimise land resources for the economic and social development of Singapore.
