Job Description:The Senior Contract Manager APAC is responsible for all Contract Lifecyle Management related strategies and processes in close alignment with global, regional and in-market counterparts.This role contributes to customer satisfaction and retention by leading the timely and proper execution of activities related to regional contract management within Sales Operations. This involves proactive interaction with local Commercial Operations counterparts and liaison with Legal, Finance, Sales and Pricing functions to drive commercial value through Contract Management and Grey Market vigilance.The Senior Contract Manager APAC oversees and manages strategic implications between commercial terms, Pricing and (un)authorized distribution patterns on a day-to-day basis and leads transformational processes that improve both commercial efficacy and efficiency.Responsibilities:The Senior Contract Manager APAC acts as accountable regional Business Partner for all Contracting and Grey Market matters and works with a mindset of achieving a common goal (regional and local interests).Contract Management: * Own, manage and organize Contracting processes from template creation through to approval management and monitoring in partnership with in-market, regional and global counterparts.
  • Lead contract reviews (Deal Desk), assess contract economics and enhance overall contract management framework processes and tools to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Act as proactive trusted advisor who oversees contractual components and works in close collaboration with the Pricing function and local Contracting counterparts.
  • Contribute to the creation of contract standards and associated policies. Monitor application and adherence in APAC markets. Develop, update and train those standards to ensure compliance.
  • Establish monitoring mechanism in support of governance and compliance. Leverage insights from CONGA (CLM tool) and develop monitoring standards.
  • Lead and own processes and practices related to the contract management system CONGA.
  • Identify potential improvements on organization, processes and policies for Contract Lifecycle Management.
Grey Market Management: * Lead and coordinate insights from test shopping activities between local, regional and global counterparts and assess their impact on Grey Market patterns and Contracting activities. Perform regular monitoring of (un)authorized distribution and propose solutions to reduce Grey Market Trade. Create oversight on Grey Market movements and link insights to contract renewals.
  • Support global tracking and liaise with related counterparts.
  • Manage Grey Market Governance and identify potential improvements on organization, processes and policies for Grey Market Vigilance.
General:
  • Represent APAC requirements and interest in contract management and (un)authorized distribution projects.
  • Govern and monitor standardized contract management processes and approval matrixes as well as the Code of Conduct for Grey Market Handling.
  • Collaborate with Global Team, Regional Finance, Regional Legal, Country Team to improve new/renew contractual processes and Grey Market vigilance practices, including sharing and implementing best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to local Commercial Operations counterparts, Sales Teams and the organization
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, quality and efficiency of projects completed.
Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in a finance, business, economics, management with demonstrable professional experience in a commercial environment.
  • Min. 7 years' experience in contract management
  • Proactive self-starter with min. 7 years experience in Contract / Deal Management
  • Strong business acumen and ability to relate to the business and its stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker who connects dots between Contracting, Pricing and Grey Market patterns
  • Experienced with local and regional Sales Operations Contract Management processes and tools
  • Able to simplify complexities and to create transparency proactively
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint application skills
  • Logical and organized with a proven track record in Contract Management
  • Must be capable of working with both speed and accuracy
  • Collaborative team player
