- As the Underwriting Assistant, you will support the overall CMO team in their goal to deliver high operational standards by developing a good understanding of the classes of business underwritten and the operational processes in place that support them
- You will support the end-to-end client management and underwriting process from logging and processing client and broker relationships, creating and updating tracking tools, and supporting overall relationship management. This includes monitoring the adherence to underwriting and company guidelines and procedures
- Your will collaborate closely with underwriters and client managers to ensure correct interpretation of data for accuracy and completeness and drive process improvement by being a source of information/expertise, gathering further information where required and adopting new initiatives within the operations team.
- Outside of the core renewal periods you will also have the opportunity to get involved in project work within the broard Allianz Re organisation.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage one’s own workflow
- Practical work experience with financial accounting, data management systems
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in and business administration, or other analyitcal related field
- Strong Microsoft office skills especially excel
- Some years of experience working in the (re)insurance industry or as an administrative assistant, or a related job is a plus
- Property and Casualty (P&C) Reinsurance knowledge, ideally gained in an accounting, controlling or support function.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the accurate collection of information and entry into databases
- Excellent communication skills with confidence to build relationships at all levels, and ask questions to ensure requirements and rationale are understood.
- Enthusiastic, hardworking and driven individual with a focus on providing the best possible service.
- Can demonstrate ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Team player skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop successful working relationships
