- Provide support to the Project Engineer for ship repair and ship refit projects, from planning through execution and delivery.
- Assist in developing detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Technical Expertise:
- Oversee progress and technical requirements for repair and refit projects.
- Interpret technical drawings, design documents, and specifications.
- Provide guidance and suggestion to production teams during execution.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all ship repair and refit work adheres to established quality standards.
- Conduct inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and classification requirements.
- Address quality issues promptly with effective corrective actions.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all work complies with relevant maritime regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to management and clients.
- Facilitate problem-solving discussions to address challenges and maintain progress.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce impact.
- Monitor risks and adapt plans as needed to maintain project success.
- of Diploma in marine engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ship repair or refit project engineering.
- Strong understanding of ship repair processes, techniques, and materials.
- Proficient in project management with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
