We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuary to join our client's team in a top tier insurer, with a strong focus on actuarial data management, reporting, and the streamlining of actuarial processes and workflows. This role is ideal for an actuary who enjoys working at the intersection of data analytics, automation, and actuarial science to drive operational efficiency and improve data-driven decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Actuarial Data & Analysis
  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets to support pricing, reserving, and risk analysis functions.
  • Design and maintain actuarial models and tools for various lines of business.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reporting to monitor key actuarial metrics.
  • Support experience studies, assumptions development, and forecast modeling.
Process & Workflow Improvement
  • Evaluate existing actuarial workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Design and implement process automation using tools such as Excel VBA, Python, SQL, R, or actuarial software
  • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and operations teams to enhance data infrastructure and improve data accessibility.
  • Create and maintain documentation for workflows, procedures, and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with product, finance, underwriting, and compliance teams to provide actuarial insight and support cross-department initiatives.
  • Communicate technical concepts and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Progress toward actuarial credentials (ASA/FSA or equivalent); designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience, ideally with exposure to data analytics or operations.
  • Strong technical skills: Excel, SQL, and at least one programming language (Python, R, VBA, etc.).
  • Experience with actuarial software and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to optimize and automate workflows or reporting processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
