- To manage a team of 5 to 7 KYC Analysts
- To deliver prompt onboarding of New-to-Bank prospects and timely completion of CDD reviews of existing customers
- To actively manage the team by providing guidance on risk assessments, exercise risk calls where appropriate and manage the workload of the team, and handle escalations expeditiously
- To track and monitor progress of the cases and guide the KYC Analysts in completing the cases promptly
- To actively engage and work with stakeholders for stronger partnership
- To coach the KYC Analysts for performance and development purposes
- To actively identify areas for improvement for better operational efficiency and AML effectiveness, and suggest viable solutions
- A degree holder
- Minimum 7 years of AML/KYC experience, preferably in institutional banking. ACAMS or ICA professional certification is a plus.
- Good supervisory skills
- Good interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with internal and external business partners, and work with stakeholders across different functions and levels
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a high number of priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be client-centric while balancing risk and controls
- Ability and interest in coaching and developing people, identifying and retaining talent
- Ability and interest in process/workflow improvements
