Business FunctionAs the Group continues to enhance its capabilities in Corporate Treasury (CT), there is a need for a strong and motivated individual to work in the Corporate Treasury-Middle Office (MO) / Corporate Treasury-COO team in a dual-mandate role to support delivery of Corporate Treasury’s strategic initiatives.Portfolio Management (PM) & Wholesale Funding (WSF): Within Corporate Treasury the PM team manages duration rebalancing portfolios with high quality liquid bonds and other interest rate derivatives, as well as Foreign Exchange hedges in banking book, while the WSF team manages term funding and capital issuances for the group. As the PM and WSF transactions lifecycle grow in complexity and volume, there is a need to grow the designated trade support & middle office function - ranging from new product / strategy initiatives, trade support, process control, trade booking & settlement, to post-trade reconciliation and planning & reporting.COO: Since the global financial crisis, regulators have placed increasing emphasis on a bank’s recovery plans (RCP), to equip institutions in practice with a reasonable prospect of recovery in a crisis. One of CT-COO’s primary responsibilities is to spearhead and coordinate the Bank’s RCP efforts, including maintenance of the RCP documentation and coordination of the annual drill exercise, for Head Office and the Bank’s key locations.Key Accountabilities1. Work closely with Portfolio Management and Wholesale Funding front office, business, and other stakeholders to drive and discuss the initiatives to aid the business workflows including pre-trade preparations and post-executions processes such as trade booking and confirmations, liaison with the responsible technology teams for product setup etc.2. Be key player with Project and IT teams on UAT and projects, question and solve existing problems for better improvements and manage all control and regulatory processes.3. Partner with other Corporate Treasury teams and internal stakeholders to plan, scope and project manage the Bank’s recovery plan (RCP) efforts, including crafting of the RCP documentation and coordination of annual drill exercises, largely for its key locations.ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Management1. Be first line of support with portfolio management team to implement strategy and trades.2. Provide Booking / trade control: book structure alignment, portfolio housekeeping, booking schema design, validation of business model layers, trade flow review etc.3. Provide and monitor Limit request / check: coordinate limit request (issuer limit, market risk limit, country limit etc) and record keeping.4. Accounting: raise hedge accounting documentations, analyse accounting impact and coordinate with system enhancement.5. Assist in documentation & governance: document important / complex processes and trade flows; review booking downstream impact and record.6. Coordination: work with other support units on trade execution and end to end process.Wholesale Funding1. Perform the cover pool monitoring end to end workflow including monthly pool maintenance reporting and reconciliation, SPV and rating agencies engagements, regulatory compliance and audit, stress test and risk management framework review.2. Be a key owner for covered bond and wholesale issuance & redemption workflow platforms by ensuring operational condition of the platforms and drive required enhancements to improve processes to support business requirements.3. Assist and ensure compliance of legal and regulatory requirements for external issuances and redemptions including timely settlement of payments and filing requirements.4. Active participation in UAT and projects, streamlining existing workflows and manage all controls and regulatory processes.COO1. Coordinate the annual RCP documentation processes, up to the relevant approval levels within the Bank or externally, if required.2. Together with other internal stakeholders, plan and execute RCP-related initiatives e.g. annual drill exercise.3. Liaise with key external stakeholders e.g. regulators on RCP-related matters and queries.Requirements· 2 - 3 years and above of relevant working experience in banking or financial institutions.· Knowledge in market or liquidity risk management background (designing and implementing risk process which includes analysing current risks and identifying potential risks i.e. interest rate and foreign exchange in the banking book) will be an advantage.· Graduate degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or IT Majors· Personality that reflects enthusiasm, willing to work and collaborate with others, energetic and enthusiastic.· Good organisational skills and ability to be disciplined with planning and delivering deadlines.· Proficient in MS Office suite, SharePoint, Tableau.· Product knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, FX and Interest rates instruments and Risk management is very much desirable.Competencies· Self-starter and strong sense of ownership to support business in initiating and implement portfolio management and issuance strategy.· Excellent team player, able to work efficiently with PM and WSF teams as well as relevant stakeholders under a highly dynamic and challenging environment.· Great project management, multi-tasking and communication skills (written and verbal), able to coordinate and balance needs with different teams.· Efficient in connecting dots with the big picture in mind, and push things to completion.· Proactive in highlighting and solving end to end trades and workflow processes.· Open-minded in exploring and trying out new technologies to continuously enhance infrastructure and systems· Proven Treasury controlling, back-office expertise and risk management.Apply NowWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package and the professional advantages of a dynamic environment that supports your development and recognises your achievements.
